Paul Sheard
A noted Australian-American economist, is Research Fellow in the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at Harvard Kennedy School. He was Vice Chairman of S&P Global, after being EVP and Chief Economist. He was chief economist at Nomura Securities and Lehman Brothers, was on the faculty of the Australian National University and Osaka University, and was a visiting assistant professor at Stanford University and foreign visiting scholar at the Bank of Japan. Sheard is on the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on the New Agenda for Fiscal and Monetary Policy and was on its Councils on the New Economic Agenda and on the International Monetary System. He served on committees of the Japanese Government’s Economic Deliberation Council, sits on the Foreign Policy Association board, and is a member of the Bretton Woods Committee and the Economic Club of NY. He served as outside director of ORIX Corporation.
